With regards to your first question, could you please provide more information about the humming sound that you are inquiring about such as when this occurs and when you purchased the Home Phone service?

In order to activate the call forwarding feature on the phone, call *21*phone number#. A confirmation tone will sound once this is complete. To deactivate the call forwarding, you can call #21#.
