Why is the refer a friend program still listed when it is apparently cancelled?

Trying to refer my wife. I mean there's this "refer a friend" on the Fido site.

I find a link to "click here to refer a friend" which takes me to an external site that says "Thanks for your interest in this offer. Our Refer a Friend program ended on July 2, 2024."

Well that's strange. Surely they wouldn't still have it listed on the site with no mention of cancellation ... anywhere.... if it's actually cancelled.

Ok, let's Ask Jack.

"As of July 11th 2023, the Fido Refer a Friend Program is no longer available."

Here's an idea: stop saying you have a program if you don't

  Welcome to the community!

  I understand it might be disappointing finding program which is no longer available. Where did you find that link? This is what shows on Fido.ca:

  While the Get it now link is still provided, they do state when the program ends. I also understand it would make sense not to reference a now defunct program on their website. However, it had only ended less than a month ago. I think they would need to continue to inform customers the program had ended for a brief period.
