Why do I need to update my SIM Card?

I bought a phone and changed my monthly plan to a new plan with Fido payment program. I am using the same phone number. Do I need to update the SIM card? The new SIM card comes with the phone. I don't understand why I have to update the SIM card. My existing SIM card works well.

Hello @zoesyl333,

You are not required or forced to update the SIM card, usually all new phones comes with a compatible SIM in case your old one is not or have issues.

You can just keep the new SIM in case the old one have any issues in the future.
