How do one ascertain whether, the Fido steps followed did in fact unlock the device

Hello @Ryl,

Once you request to have the phone unlock and to complete your iPhone’s unlocking, you’ll need to restore it through iTunes.

You should also amke a backup and sync your phone before restoring it.

To do that just follow these steps:

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. Select your iPhone in the left pane in iTunes. In the summary tab, click the restore iPhone button.
3. Click restore again to confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings.
4. When the restore is complete, set-up your iPhone on your device directly and sync it again with iTunes to get your data back.

If you have a non-Fido SIM card with you, instead of following the above instructions, insert the SIM in the phone and follow the on-screen instruction

Hey @Ryl

Welcome to the community Smiley

You can verify that the phone has been unlocked by placing a non-fido SIM in it. If your phone can then connect to the other network, it is unlocked.

On the other hand, if it's not unlocked, there will be an error message on the screen of the phone once you place a different sim card in it.

Does this help?
