Unlimited Long Distance

If you add unlimited long distance to a plan with limited airtime minutes, are you still beholden to that plan's airtime minutes, or do they become unlimited.

 

It's unclear from the site's description which says "Make and receive as many calls as you want to anywhere in Canada for one low price."

No. LD add-ons cover the long distance portion of the call charges. Any call you make is made up of at least 2 possible and separate components, the airtime and the LD. If you call a local number, the only airtime. If you call long distance then airtime and LD charges. If your plan covers the local airtime portion (through your bucket of minutes, or unlimited evenings, etc) then you only pay LD for a LD call, but otherwise you pay both. If you have a LD addon then you avoid the LD charges but airtime charges would still apply, depending on the constraints of your voice plan.
