So I just got billed $378.16 for making international calls to Pakistan, although my plan includes 1000 international long-distance minutes.
I called Fido support and they are saying that my international minutes are not valid for Pakistan. This is strange because the in-store that signed me up told me that I could call anywhere in the world with international minutes.
The phone rep and service supervisor are refusing to help me.
Does anyone else know what else can be done?

Hello Moeez143pk1,
Welcome to the community!
Sorry to hear of your situation. It is unfortunate you were not are those 1000 International minutes are only to certain Countries. I do not know what was discussed in-store. However, that 1000 International minute promotion had always been to certain Countries. It was never available Worldwide. It should be noted that the included Countries for the 1000 International minutes promotion might vary depending on when you received the promotion (see here). As far as I am aware, the current list includes:
Bangladesh
China (including Hong Kong)
India
Mexico
United Kingdom
~see here.
Though, you would need to verify the included Countries in your particular promotion. That said, I do not believe Pakistan was ever included as one of those Countries.
Fido and Rogers did waive long-distance charges to Pakistan following the floods last year. However, I do not believe that offer is ongoing.
If you regularly need to make calls to Pakistan, you might consider their Preferred International Rate Add-on (see here). Unfortunately, it is not possble to retroactively include the add-on for calls already on the system.
You should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. If you would like to re-discuss those charges, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
In the mean time, I understand this is a difficult time and receiving such a bill even more distressing. If you're unable to make full payment on the bill, you might consider trying to arrange a payment schedule. To make an arrangement, you'll need to contact the credit operations department. It should also be mentioned that any arrangement would be at the discretion of the credit operations team.
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers

Read the full post before giving a generic reply.
Update: I went into the store, turns out the rep that helped get my second number has a history of misleading customers and was fired from the company.

Again, these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. I do not know what recourse may be available given the history of that in-store customer service person. If you would like to further discuss those charges, you would need to contact customer service.
