@bhilvillanueva you can still use the phone on your trip but if you do not want to charged for roaming usage you can put your phone in aeroplane mode and then turn on the WiFi and use WiFi if available.
If you want to use your phone with local service where you will be visiting you will have to make sure your phone is unlocked and it's compatible with the available local service provider where you will be visiting.
