hi everyone,

Since the nougat update early this month, my battery has been draining faster. i did try the clear cache, put my screen resolution almost dark, hard reset, no change. I realized i must go back to marshmallow (Android 6.0). can i bring my Galaxy A5 2017 to the fido store i took it?

Thanks

Hello Pimanbouk1,

Unfortunately, I am doubtful that the Fido stores will be willing to, or even are able to downgrade the OS version on your phone since it involves flashing the ROM. Your options would be to take it to a third party cellular phone repair shop. They would likely have the tools required to downgrade the OS. Alternatively, if you are comfortable, there are many websites providing instructions on how to do so. Either way, you should make sure you have backups of your phone's information and settings.

Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers

Hello @pimanbouk1,

You can take it to a Fido store and ask them to have it downgraded and see if they can do it for you or you can contact Samsung directly and have them do it.
