I purchased a byop plan onlin through fido.ca directly, and received a email of charging with the set up service fee. Will i get that service fee refunded once i actually acitvated the sim in my phone?

please email me to let me know whether this fee will be waived?

Hello @Cindy00,

If you did the purchase directly online at fido.ca and without the help of customer service you should not have been charged the activation fee, I would suggest you reach out to customer service and have them look into it.

Hi @KAPABLE-K

thanks for your reply. Just to be clear, if I purchased through fido.ca through contacting the customer service online, will that charge me the set up fee once I activate my sim?

Hello, again @Cindy00,

If you contact customer service by chat or by phone and they set it up for you it will trigger the setup fee, the fee is only waived once you do the setup yourself on fido.ca without the assistance of customer service.

Thanks @KAPABLE-K ,

I did not activate the sim yet. Can I contact the specialist to cancel the order if it's still within 15 days?

Hey @Cindy00,

It's possible to cancel the account within the first 15 days and return the SIM card, yes. Just a heads up that if you activate a new account yourself directly on fido.ca, there will be a new credit evaluation done under your name.

Hope this helps with your question, let us know if you need more info!
