Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was put on backorder

Hi.

I'd upgraded my plan and device (to S20 FE) online here on fido.ca on November 27th 2021.

I also made a downpayment for the device of $135 to reduce monthly cost.

After that I received an e-mail notification that my payment was updated. 

As of now I haven't received a single e-mail regarding phone purchase, either confirmation or tracking info.

 

Today I spoke with online agent who confirmed that my device was put on backorder and wait time is now quote: "up to 4 weeks+"

Can anyone explain please what does this mean? Does it mean up to 4 weeks (there is a chance) and a + basically means to eternity???

Any chance for any certainty at this point?

We understand how important it is for you to receive your brand new phone as soon as possible. We're doing everything we can to deliver the phones to our customers ASAP. If you were advised that the device is backordered for up to 4 weeks, it means 4 weeks. At the moment, the Samsung S20 FE is on 3 weeks backorder though + delivery delays.

 

As soon as your order is processed, we will notify you via email, so keep an eye out.
