Roaming in USA - text doesn't work & battery depletes quickly?

Hi i'm boardin in 10 minutes... why does my text in uSA not work? And the battery on my iphone5 depletes so quickly!

I've tried resetting network settings & rebooting my phone. The 1st text after this seems to send out ok... then every text after that has problems again.  plus receiving texts is super super delayed? anybody had this happen? any tips?

Hi mhui, we can’t guarantee the service on another provider's network. Let us know if the problems persist when you're back in Canada.
