ROAMING ACTIVATION

I AM A FREQUENT TRAVELLER AND HAVE MY FIDO LINE ALWAYS ON.

THIS YEAR I LEFT MONTREAL SINCE 12 FEBRUARY 2021 FOR SOME DESTINATIONS IN AFRICA. 

SINCE I LEFT CANADA UNTIL TODAY, I COULD NOT ACTIVATE MY ROAMING. THE FIDO LINE COULD NOT ROAM ON ANY NETWORK. I CALLED THE COMMERCIAL SUPPORT AND THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT BUT THEY COULD NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. MY LINE IS NOT WORKING OUT OF CANADA. THIS THE FIRST TIME I AM FACING THIS SINCE 2014 THAT I HAVE MY FIDO LINE

  Welcome to the community!

 

  In addition to what has already been mentioned, have you verified that your phone is compatible with the networks at those destinations in Africa?

 

  Also, what plan do you have? You should note that the Data & Text plans are only for use on the Fido networks. Extended coverage and roaming are not available on those plans (see here).

Hello @ADT2021 and welcome to the Community.

 

If there's no restriction blocking your roaming, you should be able to use your phone just fine in Africa.

Where are you located now exactly?

 

Also, which phone model are you using?

 

And can you tell us a little more about your discussion with our technical support when you contacted them?
