Prepaid Balance Inquiry - Porting to new provider

What happens when you have a prepaid account with a balance, and transfer the number to a new provider? 

 

Can the balance be credit back to the customer to a credit card, or redeem for accessories at a fido store prior to leaving?

 

Or is it lost and is just skunk cost of changing providers and porting the number over?

For your prepaid inquiries, support is only available via self-serve through Fido.ca or over the phone by calling 1-888-482-FIDO (3436), from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm (ET) and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm (ET).
