Porting to ESIM

So I recently took up an offer and I'm waiting for my sim to be delivered. I want to use and ESIM but also port my number from my previous provider. 

Is it best to wait for my sim and port my number to the sim and then move to an esim or is it possible to just port my old number to my current phone and Fido all at once? 

Anyone had eny experience with this. Current phone is a Pixel 7. Thanks in advance.

Hello @E_Bell,

You can port-in your existing active number as soon as you have your sim or Esim. You don't need to jump through so many hoops.
