Plan change in middle of cycle

If I upgrade my plan with a better deal and I have 20days left on my previous billing cycle. Does the new plan gets activated right away or at the end of the remaining billing cycle?

If you are doing it yourself on fido.ca the new plan will take effect immediately, if you are doing it through a customer service agent then you can have them set it to take effect on your new billing cycle or immediately.
