My phone says I have International Messaging Included, does this mean I can send messages to the states? I got charged for a call to the States last month, so I'm a bit confused. If It doesnt mean I can send the messages charge free, how much is the plan upgrade?

Hello Deaganreagan,
Welcome to the community!
Generally, International Messaging refers to text messaging (SMS and/or MMS). If your plan includes International messaging or Unlimited Canada-wide and international text, picture and video messages sent from Canada, you can send text messages to US phone numbers without additional charges. Though, it should be noted that sent/received premium messages may incur additional charges (see Full Details here).

Voice calls are not considered messaging. Calls made to non-Canadian phone numbers would incur long-distance charges. If you regularly require making calls to the US, Fido offers an US calling add-on (see here).
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers
