Not receiving SMS verification codes

Hi there

 

I am unable to receive SMS verification codes on my phone. I have a regular mobile phone plan, I've tried turning WiFi off and double checked my SMS setting on my phone but I still cannot receive them. So far I haven't been able to receive them from Simplii Financial and Door Dash. Any ideas?

Hi @chipwell!

 

If you are unable to send text messages to a short code, or receive text messages from a short code, it may not be provisioned in Canada by the CWTA. The CWTA maintains the list of approved and active codes allowed on our network. Check out the list of approved and active short codes here

 

Were you previously able to receive texts from these specific short codes?

Thank you for the response.

Both companies are on the approved list of short codes. I was receiving them when I was a Bell customer. 

That's odd! Are you able to short codes from other companies? Do you have the latest operating system running on your device?
