I was offered a very good plan by Koodo and I called in Fido support to see if Fido could do any price matching, without offering any deals, the customer support suggested I move to Koodo to get a better deal. The place where I live in Telus/Koodo has better coverage than Rogers/Fido, so if I don't get a price match at least, there is no point in staying with Fido.
If no one can offer a good deal, I will have no choice but to move to Koodo.

It is not the price matching but Fido's attitude towards existing customers is what is terrible. The previous person responded to my post didn't even suggest to sort things out rather outright said to move to the competitor. That's is how much you want to retain your customers. Pathetic attitude!

Hello @Matt04,
You are taking the facts and truth as attitude when it is not if Fido can not offer you anything better than the competitor and you will be getting better service there then why not just go there? I just moved a line away from Fido because of the exact situation myself.
For example, I had my car insurance with one broker since I got a car well over 15yrs a few years back I shopped around when it was my renewal and I got a quote that was $500 cheaper elsewhere, I called him up and told him and without missing a beat he said you have to take it I can't come close to that and you have to take it. Over the years I sent a lot of friends and family to this guy and for him to be that blunt with me I found it as he was genuinely looking out for me and I can respect that, he didn't try to convince me to say because what's the point if he can not offer anything close to what I'm getting elsewhere.
So if you are getting a better deal and better service elsewhere and someone tells you just take it doesn't mean it's a bad attitude.

The examples you are providing are like comparing Apples and Oranges. Some of the members in my family are with Fido because they have received far better deals than what I am on. So when you say you cannot provide a better deal, that is untrue. If Fido has a policy that treats everyone equally, I can buy into your logic. Unfortunately Fido provides deals to peope differently and those who doesn't have a good plan always would want to seek improvements to their current plan. Generalizing each case is not the right way to handle any issue. If better Coverage was way too improtant for me, I would have joined a competitor log ago. For me, the monthly payment is far more imprtant at this moment.
Jumping into conlusions without having the mindset to understand the customer problem will take customers away.

Hello again @Matt04, the example I provided does imply as you stated Fido does offer targeted promotions to different users, and per line, insurance companies offer different premiums depending on where you live, the type of vehicle, age, and the list goes on.
I did not jump to a conclusion and I do understand what you are saying I even said I moved a line away from Fido for the very same reason.
You now say:
If better Coverage was way too improtant for me, I would have joined a competitor log ago. For me, the monthly payment is far more imprtant at this moment.
In your original post, you stated:
I was offered a very good plan by Koodo and I called in Fido support to see if Fido could do any price matching
You were offered a better plan and you wanted Fido to match it but they couldn't so the other carrier offered a better price and the monthly cost is more important than coverage for you, so you are getting a better price and better coverage as a bonus from the other carrier, what's stopping you from taking it?

Hello @Matt04,
Fido does not price-match but often they would have comparable options, I guess in your case they do not have anything comparable to offer, and since the other carrier is giving you a better deal and as you stated the coverage is better where you are then it would be best to switch.
