Not able to extend temporary suspension

Hi there,

This is my first time posting anything in the community. Not sure if this is the right place to post but I really have no other places to ask...

I do not live in Canada anymore but keeping my phone number just for visiting purpose. I was able to have my line temporary suspended for almost a year last year but this year when I tried to do it (myself and via agent), I was told there is a 6 month max policy for the temporary suspension which I was not aware of at all.

Is there any exception can be made in this case? If not, what would all permanent residents who do not live in Canada for months do in this case?

When it comes to a temporary suspension, the max is currently of 185 days per calendar year.

There sadly is no option to extend it beyond that time frame.
