Nexus 5X Cannot Send/Receive MMS After System Update

My Nexus 5X 's current system is 8.0.0, but this happened a few updates ago (in October maybe?).

I do not have data on my plan but used to be able to send/receive MMS with the "Mobile Data" turned on.

The only thing changed was the system update.

Can anyone help?

  Have you verified that the phone is using the correct APN settings? It's possible they may have been altered during the system update. You can verify those settings here.
