New phone plan BYOP ?

I’m looking to start a new plan as mine is over and can’t understand why existing customers are not offered at least the same price as new customers for plans!

as an example 8 gigs for $55 for new customer and $65 for me

or on my app I’m being offered 10 gigs for $71 vs 65$ for new customer?

why not give your existing customers the same or better?

Did you verify if it's the same subsidy tier you're looking at? For example, you might be getting a better plan with a different subsidy tier, that means you'd be getting a phone at a better monthly price than a new customer.

If you're looking at an in-market Bring Your Own Phone plan, while on your account you're looking at a Small, Medium or Large plan that's a different story.
