Never billed by Fido, yet Account got assigned to Collection Agency

After my Fido Account was cancelled on 1st August, 2020, I've not been officially communicated whatsoever about an outstanding amount from Fido in the form of a bill, either digitally in email or physically as a letter, and yet this Account have been assigned to a Collection Agency in January, 2023, for no fault of mine.
