Unfortunately, I do not believe that would be possible. Your Fido phone number would be a Canadian phone number. That is, the area code would identify the number as being from Canada (see here). A provider in the US would not be able to port a Canadian phone number over for their services.
As far as I am aware, the only way to keep your Canadian phone number would be to continue services with a Canadian provider. Alternatively, it may be possible to port the number to an IP service provider, though it would still be a Canadian phone number. It should be noted that using a Canadian phone number in the US would likely result in long-distance or roaming charges making calls as well as for those calling your number.
