Merging Fido Accounts

Hi There,

 

My wife and I both have monthly phone plans under separate account numbers.

 

I've read a few posts, and know it's possible to merge our accounts into one number.

 

But if we do so, can she retain her name as the caller ID attached to her phone number?

 

Or would both show up under my name as the account holder?

Merging two accounts can not be done through any self-serve option, you will need to contact customer support and they can assist you.

Hi Luke,

 

I can confirm that it's certainly possible to have her name set as the display name for outgoing calls. It will default to your name once the transfer goes through (assuming you merge her line to your account), but you can contact us to have it updated anytime thereafter. Please note the change can take up to 24 hours to take effect, and you'll also need to reboot the device for it to go through.
