Is this Fido’s idea of a joke?

On Black Friday I saw a notice in the Fido app regarding a special deal just for me. The special deal was a $65 entry level package with 1 GB (yes one GB) of data. This speaks volumes about how Fido views customers. First to have such a package in 2024 is inconceivable and then to offer it to clients is insulting beyond belief.

I cancelled my Roger's Mastercard and ported to Bell yesterday and of course today I received an email from Fido saying I will be contacted by an Fido ambassador with a special deal just for me. Yeah, ok.

That doesn't sound right. It's possible that additional data, as a separate add-on, would have appeared at the time of the change. That being said, we will be sure to pass your comments along.
