Hello,
I have two phone lines with Fido and would like to keep both numbers if switching over to another provider. Can someone explain me that how the number portability works? Thank you in advance..

Welcome to the community!
You just need to tell the other provider you want to port over the numbers and they will take care of it.
it's important your line with Fido is active until the port is complete, when the porting of the numbers is complete it will automatically cancel the Fido lines.
