Fido does not value Loyalty

We have been long-time loyal customers of Fido. Probably 8 years. We are paying $51 monthly (per line) for 4GB data. New customers can bring their own phone and get 20GB for $39 (or 50GB for $44). I called customer service and asked them to match the $39 rate for me. They cannot - best they can do is give me 20GB for $50. I told them I can go to another provider for $40 monthly. if they will not do anything for me.  The customer service rep said that rate was "not available on my account".  I asked for a manager so she put me on hold to talk to customer service.  She came back and said they cannot offer me anything else.  She asked me if I wanted to move to a Rogers plan.  That's a big no - Rogers is even more expensive and they are gouging people for cable as it is.  

 

When my daughter moved to Virgin Mobile after Fido couldn't give her the new rate, they texted her the DAY AFTER she terminated services to beg her to come back for the introductory offer. But they wouldn't match it to keep her when given the chance. What a horrible customer service model. It just doesn't make any sense - unless of course they gouge with you an activation fee that offsets the discounted rate.

 

I am beyond disappointed because I have been a happy Fido customer up until now.  Bottom line is they would rather lose my business at $200/month (for 3 mobile lines and a home phone) by refusing me a rate offered to new customers.  I will be more than happy to move to a new provider with a better bundling rate.  Sorry Fido, you lost me.

Rest assured that we value loyalty and we always want our customers to have the best offers that we have available. 

 

While it is common practice for all companies to have incentives for new customers, we often have promotions and loyalty offers that are available for all customers. You can keep an eye on our future offers as our promotions change on a regular basis.
