Fido Reserverations

Hi Fido,

 

I've been a happy customer for a while, but I really don't understand what is going on with the Fido reservation system. I reserved a phone and paid my 40 dollars and then when I showed up at the store they told me they were all sold out (Not just to people who had reserved, but to walk-ins). I don't understand the point of the system if Fido stores are just selling the inventory to whoever walks in.... this is a very frustrating experience, does Fido offer any advice to those of us who followed the protocol?

Did you wait to receive confirmation that your phone had shipped to the store of your choosing before showing up? Those who reserved phones through Fido are supposed to wait to be contacted by the fido store they selected before showing up. If your phone had not shipped before you showed up, your phone would not have been there to pick up.
