Data overage

I got charged 50$ for going over my limit of data but i know for a fact i didnt used that much. I checked how many gb a have this morning and it was aroung 2gb. I streamed some music for max 1h and I didnt receive any messages in the morning. But in the afternoon, when I opened my phone (Didnt used the whole day) and went on instagram, i received a text saying im at 90%. 2 minutes after, i got another message saying im at 100% of data used. And the minute after, I got a third message saying im 600mb over my limit. I dont understand how fido think i used that much data when I was busy working the whole day and didnt used my phone. I feel robbed for something i didnt do. Can anyone help me? Thank you

Do you have any apps that stay open in the background when you don't use your phone? Usage can happen that way or maybe an update was done on your phone recently as well.
