I decided to switch operators, and choose Fido. I paid some amount on spot, and they gave me sim to switch. But next day I have seen that they made credit hard check, though I didn't apply for any financing, phone or anything else. And also I was not informed that credit check may be. This is very frustrating, because non of my friends or colleagues who switch plan had any hard checks, even those who applied for finance. I wish I didn't change my operator. Because my credit score is much more important, and will cost me much more. Not cool Fido

When we activate a new line, a hard credit check is required to see if you're eligible to activate a service.
Many other services require a credit check, such as a mortgage, credit card, or an auto loan!
This is supposed to be mentioned at the point of purchase!

It should've been mentioned, but it wasn't. 5 of my friends who opened account with you didn't have credit check. I am lucky that you've choosen me. I was not applying for mortgage or auto loan, strange to compare sich things. And now I won't apply for some time because now I have my 50$/month plan with Fido! I will live in and drive on your services from now on. Lucky I am
