Charge for changing number

I didn`t know that i will get charge 35$ if i change my number by myself.  I thought they will only charge you if you change it in store. Can someone please explain it to me. Thank you!

Can you please clarify how you went about changing your telephone number? We do indeed charge a one time $35 fee when we complete the change for you. Though the charge is waived when you complete it online on your Fido.ca as seen here.
