Only a Fido representative can cancel an account so you will need to contact customer support and they can do it for you.


However, if you would like to keep your existing number then you need to keep the Fido line active and when you signup with the new provider they will port the number over and the Fido account will automatically be cancelled.


With the resent SIM Swap attacks that has been happening you will probably need to have the right documents in order to do the port. The new provider will let you know what they require.
