Hey fido,

 

I am going to add my husband from other provider (rogers) with his phone number. Does it considered as a new activation and do we get 10% off his plan? We will prob get BYOP.

 

Another question, can we switch our plans just in between us after activation?

  Do you mean swapping plans between your husband and yourself? If so, unfortunately, that is not possible. The plans are associated with the phone number and are non-transferrable -- even between phones on the same account. The only way to achieve that result would be to also switch SIMs and therefore phone numbers. You can switch to a current in-market plan. However, if your current plan is not available anymore, your husband would not be able to get that plan.

Unfortunately Fido does not offer the 10% second discount anymore. You can change your plan anytime you wish, a BYOP plan will have no issues but if you have a term plan then you can incur some fees switch plans depending on the plan tier.
