i have my Fido modem hard wired and all devices are also hardwired to the modem/router and i seem to be only getting a max DL speed of 5 Mbps.  i was getting speeds of 97 Mbps over the weekend, which were my 2 first days with Fido, now I am getting speeds reminiscent of the year 2000.  i have done a factory reset of the modem/router and my house is equipped with CAT 5 everywhere. There are also no known outages reported in my area.

Hi @jdnhebert!

Welcome to the Community!
Are you still having the same issue today? Can you try one more time to reset the modem and post a speedtest result here (make sure the computer is connected to the modem by ethernet).

My modem and computer were always hardwired.

I ended up removing every other Coax cable from my splitter (nothing else was hooked up to it anyways)and using a CAT5 cable from my utility box to distribute via ethernet cable throughout the house.
My speed climbed from 5Mbps to 40Mbps.

I even have Ooma phone hooked to it now since I changed my setup and the speed is maintained. I will verify speeds again during "peak" times.

Test it out and keep us updated!
