Got home internet opened by mistake

A guy called me that they opened a home internet on my account(I only use cell phone service with Fido). The modem is already mail out. He told me to refuse the pakage, but I'm not wfh and I'm also waiting for packages from other online shopping.

 

I'm just wondering if anyone has similiar experience, and what's the procedure and this? For how long can I have my account clear

This definitely shouldn't happen.

Once the modem is returned your account should cancel immedaitely. Were you given any other details?

I called in, the call center guy filed a fraud investigation. Still waiting for the call from Fido for updates. Hopefully my identity is still safe
