Is Pokémon Go getting the best of your battery? We hear that this new, incredibly popular game is quite the gas-guzzler. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise though; the game fires up your phone's GPS, graphics processor, cellular radio and camera all at the same time! (but it’s worth it though, right?)
So with that in mind, we decided it would be a good idea to share some battery saving tips
1- For starters, there's the game's built-in battery saver mode. It’s pretty easy to turn on:
- Tap on the Pokéball at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on the Settings option at the top of the screen
- Tick the box beside the Battery Saver option
2- Turn the AR (Augmented Reality) feature off at the top right of your screen. This will save you some juice by not using the camera (and you might find it easier to catch some little criters)
3- One big battery saver is dimming your screen's brightness. Usually, the screen brightness option can be found in the Display options in your Settings menu, or in your notification bar.
4- Keep your Bluetooth off. When it’s on, your phone searches for nearby devices, which works the battery a little.
And that's that!
