Are you saying your iPhone had sufficient battery left before it stopped functioning? I would first perfom a reset > Hold the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo appear. Secondly, does your computer and/or iTunes recognize the iPhone if you plug it in? If it is recognized by iTunes and you are still having troubles, perform a Restore which will restore your iPhone to factory defaults.
