iPhone 4 non-data plan

is it possible to get an iPhone 4 without a data plan on a 2 year contract? 

It should really be an option considering how old the iPhone 4 is now.

Yes you can. If you buy it contract free, then you can buy it from Fido or directly from Apple for $450. If you want a discount, then it requires a 3 year contract with data.

So if I have a Sony Ericson with Fido at 30$/month with no data... I can buy an iPhone and I won't have data?

Ever since iOS 5 came out, Apple has included the the option to turn off Cellular Data in the iPhone's settings. Thus, allowing you to use your iPhone for talk and text, and WIFI if you want to browse the web, etc. I used to use my iPhone 3GS with no data addon; used to be an issue but these days it's very simple. But you have to buy your iPhone outright and if you want the iPhone 4 you'll need a Micro SIM-card.
