blackberry 9700 on 3g network switching to edge after midnight

i have a problem with my unlocked bb 9700. from the morning all the way to night its on 3g and everything is ok, but during the midnight hours my phone switches to EDGE and even gprs and my msgs take forever to send. anyone having this problem?

Have you contacted customer service to see if there was any issue or maintenance with the network in your area?

The maintenance window is usually around the time you experience 3G signal problems.  That might have some thing to do with it?
