LG Neon black screen

I've had my Lg Neon for a little over a year now and aside from the random shutdowns it was fine.  However, the screen suddenly turned black but I'm still able to make calls and send texts but of course I won't be able to see any incoming texts or use the phone in any other way.  Is there a way to fix this or will I have to buy another phone?

Hello Arty,

I am sorry to learn of your handset issue.

It seems that your handset is defective.

I would suggest trying to leave it off for a few hours and then try to open it again to see if the issue persists, but if it does, you would have to purchase a new handset.
