Does ZTE Axon 7 phone (model number: A2017G) work with FIDO? If yes, what is the right setting?

Re: ZTE Axon 7

Hello NabN,

  Welcome to the community!

  According to their website, that phone should have these specifications:

* ZTE A2017G
TD-LTE:Band 38/40/41
FDD-LTE: Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/19/20/28AB
UMTS: Band 1/2/4/5/8
GSM: Band 2/3/5/8

  That phone would have all of the compatible bands/frequencies for 2G and '3G'. With regards to LTE, that phone would only have two of the compatible bands/frequencies. You can verify the compatible bands/frequencies here. Since the phone only has two of the compatible bands/frequencies coverage would depend on the corresponding frequencies on your surrounding towers. You can view your surrounding towers here.

  You might need to verify the phone is using the correct APN settings. You can verify them here.

Hope this helps Smiley

Re: ZTE Axon 7

Hello @NabN,

According to the website here that phone have these bands:

ZTE A2017G
TD-LTE:Band 38/40/41
FDD-LTE: Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/19/20/28AB
UMTS: Band 1/2/4/5/8
GSM: Band 2/3/5/8

In order for your phone to work with Fido,

Your device must be compatible with the Fido network, which uses GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz. To access LTE network, the phone must be compatible with:

  • 700 MHz on Band 17;
  • 1700/2100 MHz on Band 4;
  • 2600 MHz on Band 7.

Take from here you will also find the setting you need there.

Your phone only has two compatible LTE bands 4 and 7 it will work but not in places where those two band is not available.
