Hello, I need to unlock my samsung galaxy s8 because I am travelling to the Philippines and I'd rather use a sim there to save costs. I tried calling 611 number 2 days ago and they told me my phone should already be unlocked because of the new rules and regulations but when I tried a Freedom sim card it didn't work and they were looking for an unlocking code.
I am travelling tonight and 611 isn't available till Monday they said. Is there anyway I can get it unlocked?
Also, I'm using a replacement phone that was covered by the Fido insurance, if that helps
