Unlocked Blackberry data plan question

Hi all, I am planning on buying an unlocked blackberry and I have a question about the data plans on fide.

I am currently on $17.50 RET plan without any data.

If I add the 1gb data add-on for smart phones will I be able to use Blackberry services like BBM, BIS, and push email? (I choose the 1gb plan because I would also like to browse websites)

Hi everyone,

That's correct greggy777, a BlackBerry data add-on is required in order to be provisioned for BIS. The BlackBerry add-ons will push through the service books to your device allowing you to use BBM, BB email, web browsing, etc.

I'm using unlocked bb torch for a few months already.Before, I had the acer liquid e from fido with the data plan of 500MB.When I got my unlocked bb torch,I just phoned fido and let tell them to switch me to bb plan,and there you go...I can access my emails,facebook,twitter,browsing internet,and BBM.uploads photos etc.and can't even use more than 200MB...
