Samsung Galaxy firmware

I'm using a Galaxy S8 active with Fido sim. The devise has AT&T firmware, but that is apparently not an issue, voice and text are working fine.

If anyone reading this is aware of Fido firmware for this device, please revert.

Could Fido firmware for the SM-G950W or SM-G955W be tweaked and applied to the S8 active?

That is if such firmware does exist.

The can not flash the firmware from a totally different phone on yours you will just brick your phone.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

To unbrand my phone from AT&T.

To remove AT&T features, settings.

To repurpose, reset, hardware permitting, those features and settings to work with Fido network.

You will not get features like WiFi calling and VoLTE to work because Fido never supported that phone in fact is was never available in Canada as mentioned above.

If you want to remove the AT&T stuff try changing the CSC, please note it will factory reset your phone so please backup your data.

Try this guide here, if the phone has Multi-CSC then you would want to choose either XAA, XAS or XAC

  Welcome to the community!

  As far as I am aware, there was no Canadian version of the Galaxy S8 Active (see here and here). Since Fido has never sold the device, there will not be a Fido firmware for the device.

  Even if there were a comparable Canadian version, it would not be recommended to flash Canadian firmwares on International or US device versions as there can be significant differences between the versions.

  Any particular reason you wanted a Fido firmware for the device?

  According to the band/frequency specifications listed on GSMArena:

2G bands	GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands	HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - AT&T
	HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100 - T-Mobile
	HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100 - Sprint
4G bands	1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 20, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66 - AT&T
	1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71 - T-Mobile
	1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 41 - Sprint

 the device should have all of the compatible bands/frequencies. While the phone should work on the networks, certain features (ie Wifi-calling and/or voLTE) won't likely be available for that device as there is no Canadian version for it.
