Personal hotspot not working

I'm trying connect my fido mobile to laptop via personal hotspot but I'm unable to connect it. Please help me out on this issue

On Android:

Make sure wifi is turned OFF. Then switch on Mobile hotspot under Connections|Mobile Networks

Welcome to the community!

Hotspots are usually straightforward forward just enable it on the phone set up the name and password then connect the other device. 

Are you having issues creating the hotspot or is the laptop connecting but with no internet access? What is the make and model of the phone you are using?
