Old iPad Sim Card in new iPad Pro

I currently have an iPad 2 Air with a data plan on the Fido network. I recently bought an iPad Pro with data option from the Apple store. I would like to use the SIM card from the iPad 2 in my new iPad Pro. Will this work since the Pro has never been locked to any telephone carrier.

Yes, just put the SIM card from the old tablet into the new one and enjoy.
