LG Velvet - Help Please!

I am new to Fido, and got the LG Velvet.  After only ever having Samsung, I am very happy but wondering if anyone out there has some advice or tips n' tricks for getting my Velvet set up and used to its full potential.  Anyone out there able to offer advice or point me in the direction of some videos or articles?  TIA!

the custom launcher i put on all of my phones regardless of the brand is Nova Launcher (much better than the stock one on LG phones imo) you also get to use custom icon packs with it
also i prefer Googles dialer app and its now available on the play store for many phones 
use Dark mode on system ui and apps that have it to save your eyes
