Just got it two days ago. Transferred sim card from old phone and it worked perfectly. I decided to power off on Sunday, when I powered it back on an error message came on stating sim card lock. It will only allow me to place emergency calls. Doe not allow me to get onto the fido network. Very frustrating as its a new phone!

try the sim card in another phone and see if you get the error message there too? the sim could be dirty or old or not making proper contact sometimes. maybe wipe the contacts with a pencil erasor and see if it helps, but im curious to see what the error message is in a different handset, plz report back.
