LG Gossip, power save

does anyone know what the LG Gossip "power save" setting does?

Hello,

I do not know for sure what it does but from the name of the setting I am assuming that it puts the phone in to a lower battery use state so that your battery does not die as quickly.

I have not used the LG Gosip personally, but I remember on other LG Phones, that when this setting is enabled, it dims the displays after 30 to 90 seconds.

There is another setting in the phone for dimming/turning off the backlight after a certain amount of time. I've also read that on some phones (e.g. nokia) the power save setting puts the phone into "flight mode" when it cant find a signal for a certain amount of time. this prevents the phone from wasting battery while it constantly tries to find a signal. i havent had the opportunity to test this.

i think i'll try and contact LG.

response i got from lg:

"The power save option is for the display brightness, off will always display at maximum brightness, always on will adjust the screen at all times and night only will only adjust the screen at night."
