I can't synchronise my cell with my PC

I can't synchronise my cell with my pc ... When i connect my cell phone, the desktop manager don't stop asking that i connect my cell but he is connect !!!

How can i fix that  ? Can it be the cable that is defect ?

I have a blackberry 8250

you mean 8520? try another cable, or try a different usb port, or try plugging it into someone elses computer, or try plugging in someone elses 8520 blackberry, try all those first, if it dont work, your phone is broken and u need to ship it back to get fixed
